Tom Green
Director
Tom Green joined Energy Strategies in 2022. He currently supports the firm in transmission planning, generator interconnections, energy markets, and project management. Recent projects include facilitation of WestConnect Order 1000 planning, and technical support of transmission and interconnection studies.
Tom’s experience includes managing and developing transmission plans to meet resource, compliance, strategic and regulatory needs and requirements. Tom has provided expert testimony for regulatory proceedings, including resource plans, rulemaking procedures, and applications for Certificates of Public Convenience and Necessity. Tom has held leadership roles on several Western Electricity Coordinating Council (WECC) and WestConnect teams.
Prior to joining Energy Strategies, Tom was a Consulting Engineer in the Transmission Planning group where he managed the planning efforts for numerous high voltage transmission plans and facilitated generator interconnection studies. Most recently, he was part of the Wildfire Mitigation Team, where he supported the development and implementation of the Public Service Company of Colorado (PSCo) Wildfire Mitigation Plan.
