Enrique Valdez
Conssultin Engineer
Enrique joined Energy Strategies in November 2025 and currently supports transmission planning efforts.
Prior to joining Energy Strategies, Enrique worked in transmission planning roles supporting large electric utilities, where he performed power flow studies and related planning work across multiple regional transmission organizations, including SPP and PJM. His work was primarily utility-focused and involved coordination with internal planning teams and external stakeholders to identify system constraints and develop mitigation strategies.
Enrique was responsible for preparing technical results and maintaining well-organized project documentation to ensure studies could be reviewed, transferred, or continued by other engineers as needed. This included documenting assumptions, methodologies, and study outcomes to support project continuity.
Earlier in his career, Enrique supported telecommunications planning and substation-related efforts, contributing to system scoping, asset identification, and the development of one-line diagrams. In these roles, he collaborated with clients and internal teams throughout project development.
Enrique holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Oklahoma State University with a concentration in Power and Energy.
