Alejandro (Alex) Palomino PhD joined Energy Strategies in August 2022. He supports the firm in the technical aspects of EV charger siting, transmission planning, generation modeling, and interconnection related matters. Leveraging data science techniques, Alex generates comprehensive reports, builds interactive dashboards, and develops targeted tools to address unique project challenges.

At Energy Strategies, Alex has performed system impact studies, transmission studies, and generator modeling for transmission developers and developed site analysis tools for EV charging developers.

Immediately, prior to joining Energy Strategies, Alex completed a PhD in Electrical Engineering with several publications in the field of EV charger utilization, interaction with distribution-level DERs, and cyber-security. Professionally, he’s also worked as a Controls Engineer for Siemens Energy, working on combined-cycle balance of plant operations, and as a SCADA Engineer for Duke Energy Renewables, developing remote control capabilities and user interfaces.
