Daniel Ramirez joined Energy Strategies in 2015. He provides analytical and market research support for various areas in the firm, which span from transmission planning to regulatory analysis, as well as energy and environmental policy analysis. He facilitates model development and interpretation, creates maps and other graphics for reports, drafts and synthesizes data for presentations, and works to create and enhance summaries for senior staff and clients.
Daniel performs ongoing production cost modeling for transmission planning, develops inputs for GridView™ simulation runs, and interprets post-simulation outputs. This includes exploring dispatch and load results, cost allocation, curtailment analysis, and congestion results.
Daniel is responsible for generating daily, weekly, and monthly reports for delivery to the firm’s large natural gas clients that consist primarily of large industrial and public sector entities. These reports contain detailed market information and insight on both electricity and natural gas prices, which supports Energy Strategies’ clients with their purchasing and hedging decisions.
